Riviera Maya, Mexico (August 22, 2013) – Everyone has probably heard at least once in their life that it is recommended to drink 64 ounces of water a day to stay healthy. The Leading Spa of the World at the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya has created innovative spa waters infused with natural vegetables and spices to rejuvenate even the most exhausted traveler. Grand Velas Riviera Maya Spa Director, Leticia Fernandez, shares three detoxifying and hydrating recipes made with ingredients including watermelon, star fruit and liquid chlorophyll.
 
Red Spa Water
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 large pitcher
· 1Ž2 Watermelon
· 1 Star Fruit, sliced
· Mint Leaves
· Ice
 
Blend watermelon, star fruit and a glass of water together for three minutes. After blended, add half of the pitcher of water, and continue to blend for another 30 seconds. Garnish the pitcher with star fruit, strawberry & kiwi slices. Serve the water with a lot of ice and add mint herbs to the top. Enjoy!
 
Green Spa Water
 
Green Spa Water: Lemon Cucumber Alkaline Water
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 large pitcher
· 2 slices of Organic Lemon
· 3 slices of Organic Cucumber
· Purified Water
· Ice
 
Mix purified water, lemon slices and cucumber slices in a large pitcher and leave the mixture out overnight. Drink the water with ice when you wake up in the morning. Your body will thank you for it!
 
Cucumbers & Chlorophyl
 
Green Spa Water: Cucumbers & Chlorophyll Alkaline Water
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 large pitcher
· 3 Cucumbers, peeled
· 1Ž2 cup of liquid Chlorophyll
· Rosemary Leaves
· Ice
· 1Ž2 cup Purified Water
 
Slice half of a cucumber for a garnish then chop the remaining cucumbers and blend with water until well mixed. Add the chlorophyll to the blender and mix for half a minute. Add half of the pitcher of water and lots of ice. Garnish the pitcher with cucumber slices and rosemary leaves.
