Much local and visiting dancers’ delight, Playa del Carmen is set to host the sixth annual BPM Festival from January 4th to 13th, 2013.

The BPM Festival is one of the most notable celebrations of dance music in the entire world, and is held in different areas of this beautiful region. Over 250 Mexican and international artists have been confirmed for the event, and will be sharing their music with spectators and revelers in various venues including bars, night clubs and even the beach. The tunes will go on during both day and night, nonstop throughout the festival.

The first phase of this huge “rave” will feature up-and-coming musicians like Benoit & Sergio, Cassy, Carl Cox, Dixon, Eat Everything, Henrik Schwarz, The Martinez Brothers and many others. During the second phase, underground music veterans will take the stage- among the most anticipated are maestros Danny Tenaglia, Louie Vega and Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez.

Those who may not be fans of dance music or who wish to take part in other activities during their stay can look forward to visiting the famed Mayan archeological sites, or engage in extreme sports and eco-tourism adventures. Of course the white sand beaches and crystalline waters of the Mexican Caribbean always provide an excellent way to enjoy paradise as well.
