Riviera Maya Film Festival 2016, the film work displayed in paradise

Surrounded by a heavenly atmosphere and pure breezes from the ocean, the 2016 Riviera Maya Film Festival will take place for fifth consecutive time. This is an event where professionals, students and lovers of the film industry meet, and in which new national and international audiovisual projects are exhibited.

The next edition of Riviera Maya Film Festival will be carried out from April 21st to 27th in several places of Playa del Carmen. If you are a passionate of films and filmmaking and creation of audiovisual projects, you may want to participate in the recently opened contest – December 28th, 2015, and enter to win prizes of up to 300 thousand pesos!

The Riviera Maya Film Festival aims to spread the quality of films created recently to the public and visitors of the state of Quintana Roo. Currently, it figures amongst the best film festivals in the region and soon it will extend its presence to other parts of Mexico. An event not to be missed.

The last festival gathered over 83 thousand spectators, with 250 films projected in 980 free performances. This year it is expected to exceed the number of attendees.
