Many teams from differents sports compete in the Sport Stadium of Cancun:

Pioneers of Quintana Roo: this team plays in the Poliforum Benito Juarez, every  other week during the season from October to February. They belong to the National League of Professional Basketball of Mexico; this club was the first in Mexico to win the FIBA Americas tournament in which the best teams of the whole the continent, compete to win the title.

Tigers of Quintana Roo: belonging to the Mexican League, it’s a team with so much history. Since its creation back in 1955, they have been changing their location, to finally establish at Estadio Beto Avila since 2007, where they have won 3 titles . The team has a mascot, “Cacho”, a hilarious tiger that will make you laugh. You can see their games from April to August.

Quintana Roo is home of one of the teams with more tradition in Mexico, the Soccer Club Atlante, with more than 70 years being part of the professional league. Nowadays they play in the Liga de Ascenso MX. In its golden ages they won three championships, in which major national and international players wore the shirt of this club, such as Luis Garcia and Ricardo La Volpe. Every other week the stadium witnesses soccer games of this renowned team. Usually there is one major tournament with two seasons: From January to May and from July to December. During weekdays, Atlante Club competes in the Copa MX, also comprised of two seasons.

Now, besides planning a sun + fun adventure, fans will give free reign to their sports passion in Riviera Maya.
