The Mayan X-Tri is one of the most important triathlons in Mexico, in which the competitions are held amidst the unique flora and fauna of this tropical area.
The 3rd edition of this event is set for Sunday, September 1st at Punta Venado Caribbean Eco-Park in the Riviera Maya at 9:00am. Participation is limited to 150 individual competitors and 50 relay teams; registration closes at 9:30am on August 29th.
The competitions will be as follows:
1. Swimming through reefs (1 km – 2 laps of 500m each)
2. Mountain biking (adventure through rocky and sandy paths)
3. All Terrain Footrace (7.5 km, on the ocean’s edge and through the jungle, crossing cenotes).
There’s no need to worry about bringing anything, as each competitor will be provided with a special package.
Judges are designated by the Triathlon Association of the State of Quintana Roo. The awarding of trophies and medal will be held at the end of each competition.
