As part of the action that Grand Velas Riviera Maya is taking to promote the well-being of the environment, we have the pleasure of inviting guests to participate in the planting of a tree. Initially this activity was going to be part of our summer activities program, but due to the great reception and enthusiasm we received from people who participated in the program, we have decided to make it a permanent activity.
The Activities Team coordinates this wonderful task; first, they explain to the guests the importance of investing in our ecosystem by planting a tree, emphasizing not only that the activity a fun thing to do, but a valuable contribution to the planet. We then give a name to the tree, something that makes the experience very special. After, we plant the tree in one of the designated areas within the resort and give the participants directions for how to locate their tree. When guests return they can see their tree and measure its growth. The whole process is videotaped and photos are taken to capture the moment. Before leaving, guests are presented with a certificate from the Plant A Tree program.
This program is undoubtedly a wonderful experience for guests of all ages!
