The man behind the magic, Executive Chef Xavier Pérez Stone, was named Best Chef in Mexico in 2012. Prestigious Piaf Restaurant, nested in the exclusive Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort, has just added one of the most important American Automobile Association recognitions, the Four Diamonds Award to the recent nomination of Chef Michel Mustiere responsible for Piaf, as Maître Cuisinier de France, a renowned distinction that less of 300 chefs in the entire world hold. A Four Diamond rating recognizes excellence in service, food quality and presentation and facility atmosphere and décor. To receive this rating, Piaf deliver a luxury experience. Less than three percent of the 60,000 AAA-approved and Diamond rated properties achieve this distinction.
