  1. Plaza Las Americas: The biggest and most important mall in Cancun! 2 min from the Hotel Zone. Plaza Las Americas counts with famous brand stores, playgrounds, movie theater, casino, supermarkets, restaurants and department stores.

How to get there? When taking the bus in the hotel zone, ask the driver to leave you on the first stop of km 0. You can take a taxi for 30 pesos or walk to the South by Avenue Bonampak, you will get there in 10 minutes.

 

  1. Market 28: A big market full of craft stands and mexican restaurants, also seafood and cafeterias. If you are looking for a specific souvenir, go to Market 28 and enjoy walking in this colonial atmosphere. Most locals use to buy everything at Market 28 for the big variety of commercial sites such as banks, supermarkets, restaurants, e-shops, jewerly, footwear, internet cafés and plenty more.

How to get there? Make sure to choose the bus that has the sign of Mercado 28/market 28 on the front window. Then it will take you directly at Plaza Bonita in Mercado 28.

  1. Malecon Tajamar: Located just in front of Plaza Las Americas where you can see an incredible view of Nichupté Lagoon and Cancun Hotels. You can take a walk with your dog, practice some exercise, take a yoga class at the afternoon or skate!

  1. Parque Las Palapas: This is a classic place to meet the local shows such as concerts at night, mexican food and delicious snacks, take some salsa lessons and meet with the residents of Cancun. Best time to go is at night.
