We all have a secret list of places we want to visit as part of our bucket list; one of the top ones on many of my friends’ lists was the Riviera Maya. Earlier this year I had the chance to go there in the company of some of my favorite people in the world.

The pristine waters, peaceful environment and gorgeous beaches blew everyone away. Famed for its turquoise waters and white sand, the Riviera Maya in Mexico is one of the top destinations in the country. Surrounded by lush vegetation and Mayan ruins located in the middle of the tropical forest, I’d like to share some photos that will make you want to be in the Riviera Maya.

Enjoy!

Tulum

These Mayan ruins served as a port for Cobá and are located just meters from the sea. The view is stunning; the vibrant color of the ocean plus the flora that surrounds the castle create a magical atmosphere- truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

 That sunrise…

If you wake up very early in the morning, I promise you will get to see one of the most amazing feats of Mother Nature. It’s incredible how this place slowly starts its day in such a peaceful way.

The Beach

To be honest, this is one of the most beautiful scenarios you can imagine. The turquoise of the ocean and the white powder-like sand will take your breath away. It’s beyond easy to enjoy the perfect weather of the Riviera Maya; take some time during your trip to just relax on any of its many beaches. Personal recommendation: Go to Akumal, it’s gorgeous.

Isla Mujeres

This paradise is a must-visit spot! You will have an incredible time. It is the perfect place for snorkeling and scuba diving, since it’s located close to several coral reefs.

This is a place that can get your mind off your worries and it gives you a hint of how heaven could be.
