Promotion of internal talent keeps Velas Resorts advancing

Chef Patrick Louis, originally from France, was named Director of Food and Beverages and Executive Corporate Chef of the Grand Velas brand by the company’s board of directors in June.

Patrick Louis joined Velas Resorts in 2002 for the opening of Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, beginning as Executive Chef and shortly becoming the Director of Food and Beverages as well. He held the two positions for three years under the direction of Fernando García Rossette.

In 2008 he again joined Sr. García Rossette’s team, now for the opening of Grand Velas Riviera Maya, where along with his new corporate position he continues as Director of Food and Beverages of the resort.
