Tulum Mexico Ruins
Tulum, Mexico is one of the most picturesque of the Mayan ruin sites throughout Mexico. Situated on a cliff overlooking the crystalline Caribbean and white sand beaches below, Tulum is breathtaking. Castillo is the main temple of Tulum that overlooks the ocean. Temple of the Frescoes is also one of the most studied ruin in Tulum. Unlike other ancient Mayan civilizations and communities, Tulum was inhabited for many years after the Spaniards arrived in attempt to rule Mexico. Due to its prime located, Tulum was a critical Mayan seaport that monitored activity along the Honduras to Mexico trade route.
