Mexico present in the Good France event

The prestigious gourmet event, Good France announced the participation of 43 Mexican chefs in the next edition of this gastronomical affair.

Mexico is the sixth country with the largest presence in Good France, a French gastronomic event organized by his Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, and Chef Alain Ducasse to promote the cuisine and wines of this nation around the world.

This project began in October 2014 and this past January 21^st the committee unveiled the list of chefs participating in the event. On March 19^th, all the participants will offer a French menu that consist of seven dishes, which were previously evaluated and accepted by an international jury.

It is estimated that the gourmet event will have a presence in over 130 countries and will bring together approximately a 1,300 chefs. The Mexican states that will be represented in the Good France are: Mexico City, Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Yucatán, Nuevo Leon, Quintana Roo, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Coahuila and the State of Mexico.

If you find yourself in the Riviera Maya next month and want to be part of this international event, the restaurant Piaf, in Grand Velas Riviera Maya, will offer a special menu designed by the award-winning Chef Michel Mustiere. Some of the dishes include: elegant tuna with Sichuan pepper crust with vegetables, Amélie-style Escargot raviolis, Fish filet with mashed carrots mounted with olive oil, Kobe beef sautéed and roasted in butter over truffled mashed potatoes; and for dessert, orange, ginger and black pepper bitter chocolate fondant.
